While attending Humboldt State University I landed a summer job working inside the research division of the US Forest Service working with PHD scientists studying forest health, fire ecology and disease. Ten years later I left to work as a professional tree climber and found my way to restoration work protecting Tahoe’s famed clarity by removing roads, restoring water drainage and growing native plants communities. These disciplines taught me the science of ecology that inform my work in creating and maintaining Native Landscapes and with over two decades of projects across the region I have settled into Truckee to practice my craft.
I’ve learned over time that spending time in nature makes us better people. Take the time to get outside and connect with the natural world. Whether that is on top of a peak, sitting on the shore of Big Blue or just relaxing in your own yard. My goal is to help you find that peace in your own backyard. Let us create a space for you to relax, unwind and enjoy this magical place!
My vision is to sustain both planet and people by creating a space where people can enjoy the outdoors, unwind from modern life and find the best of the Tahoe High Sierra in their own place.
