Property Maintenance

Let us manage the seasonal cycles of clean up, pruning, and growth to keep your property healthy and resilient. Our service is driven by the needs of each season to help plants thrive and keep our community fire safe.

In Spring we untie plants and clean up what winter left behind, turn on the irrigation system and test run it to get ready for summer. Repairs are made as needed and plants are pruned to correct damage and improve growth patterns for the coming year.

Things get busy once the summer heats up and the plants start to grow. Invasive plant species and common weeds make an effort to take over the yard and it is the most important time of year to remove them before they set seed. When the yearly pollen cycle kicks in and the native forest paints the whole region yellow we blow off decks, stairs, hot tubs and just about every surface to keep the place looking good. We adjust irrigation as the summer heats up and manage the growth of plants and invasive weeds to maintain your property. General clean up is a season long task and keeps our community fire safe and the place looking great for you to enjoy the beauty of Tahoe.

Fall is the time for fertilizer because 75% of all yearly root growth happens now and supporting this phase of growth is critical. It’s also the last chance to make corrective pruning cuts before plants slow down and prepare for winter. As the season wanes we tie up trees and shrubs, cut back the perennial plants, turn off irrigation systems and drain lines in preparation for freezing temps. It’s a busy time of year and really important for the garden. It’s also when we start dreaming of powder skiing and the coming winter hibernation. Everyone needs a time to slow down and reflect in preparation for the seasons ahead!
